The products we use for a spotless kitchen

Stainless steel, cooktops and the sink: the short list our team reaches for in every kitchen we clean.

The kitchen is the room clients notice first, and the one that takes the most work to get right. Grease settles on cabinet fronts, fingerprints collect on stainless steel, and the cooktop never quite looks clean. Here's what we use to get it there, and how to keep it that way between visits.

Sinks, pots and stainless

A soft cleanser is the workhorse here. Squeeze a little onto a damp sink, work it in with a soft sponge and rinse. It lifts stains and stuck-on residue without scratching. For appliance fronts, finish with a stainless polish, wiping with the grain.

Glass and ceramic cooktops

Let the cooktop cool completely, then use a soft cleanser with a non-scratch pad. For burnt-on spots, a flat razor scraper held at a low angle does the rest. Buff dry with a microfiber cloth for a streak-free finish.

Keeping it clean between visits

Two habits make the biggest difference: wipe the cooktop after every use while it's still warm (not hot), and dry the sink at night so water spots never get a chance to form.
